In sunny Rimini, Signora Enrica is famous for her grudge against men. Strict rules apply in her spacious apartment building – all tenants must be women. However, when the young Turkish student, Ekin, loses his way and accidentally shows up in her house, she makes an exception and accommodates him. Although she still hates men, her heart begins to melt when she sees Ekin trying hard to impress another tenant, Valentine, without knowing a single word of Italian. When Ekin gets involved in a crucial quarrel she is having with her adult son, Enrica slowly reconsiders her relationship with men and her whole attitude towards life. This delightful film successfully balances comedy and tragedy, and shows off the exceptional talent of Italian actress Claudia Cardinale.
