Retired and getting older, Gianni worries more and more about becoming a disapproving old man who spends his days sitting on a bench in front of his house with the other oldtimers. He had imagined his retired life differently; not just to be on hand to fulfill the most banal demands of his wife or to be at his mother's beck and call. It is his old friend Alfonso who pulls Gianni out of his lethargy when he starts describing his romantic adventures to him. A small and harmless romance is exactly the kind of excitement Gianni is missing in his life.... Director Gianni Di Gregorio has cast himself in the main role. In this high-spirited comedy, he kids about aging and refuses to give in to it..
